EPFL emphasizes education, research, and innovation, yet employability quietly shapes much of student life. Students are often guided toward meeting immediate industry expectations, sometimes at the expense of exploration and autonomy. Seeking to challenge this dynamic to create different rhythms and priorities, through solidarity, alternative use of campus spaces, and a temporal ROSCA, we propose a 6 month buffer. Mobilizing collective agency, this new center would allow students to engage with their studies on their own terms.
