Around the Berre Pond, industry and the living collide. Legal zones overlap: Pro-natura 2000, Seveso III, ICPE.. but who really benefits from this situation? It seems like environmental laws treat polluting sites as hubs to sanctuarise. Seveso regulations keep citizens away from industrial risk, yet toxicity accumulates, ghosts of past, present and future pollution layering over active operations. The proposal flips active Seveso sites into nurturing spaces, hands them to citizens, and treats undoing as design for biodiversity to reclaim contaminated territory.
