The project "Cruise Waves" addresses the challenges of cruise ship tourism, such as overcrowding, environmental impact, and cultural disruption. It proposes transforming existing terminal bridges into vibrant spaces that cater to both locals and visitors, integrating seamlessly with the terminal's infrastructure. The project features an immersive exhibition with four main themes: the impact of tourism on monuments and cultural heritage, carbon dioxide emissions from tourism, respectful tourism in popular destinations, and strategies to divert crowds from major cities to lesser-known destinations.

The exhibition uses innovative technology to engage visitors, including large canvas screens showcasing endangered monuments and interactive walls addressing climate change impacts. Visitors can engage in real-time discussions with people worldwide and explore simulations of alternative transportation and destination scenarios. Bleachers provide a space for visitors to learn about respecting local communities and cultures, with multimedia presentations promoting empathy and understanding.

The exhibition also highlights the positive impacts of tourism on local economies, encouraging responsible tourism practices and the creation of new jobs. Throughout the pavilion, digital technologies are seamlessly integrated, allowing visitors to engage with the content and contribute to the global dialogue on sustainable tourism.

Overall, Cruise Waves envisions a future where tourism aligns with the planet's needs and respects the cultural heritage of destinations. The project seeks to inspire positive change, promote responsible travel choices, and foster a global conversation on the future of tourism and its environmental implications.
