WATER LEVELS - Water mismanagement due to agriculture

The project proposes an idea for a decentralized exhibition on water mismanagement and its impact on agriculture, leading to droughts in various regions around the world. The project aims to educate the public on fluctuating water levels globally and raise awareness about the scarcity of water due to global warming and agricultural practices.

The exhibition will be located in five cities, including Brisbane, Phan Thiet, Sao Paolo, San Francisco, and Barcelona, using old water towers as exhibition venues. The chosen towers represent depleted water reservoirs and dams in these regions, making them suitable for repurposing as exhibition spaces. The intervention involves adding interactive displays, LED screens, and immersive rooms inside the towers.

Visitors will be able to see and compare water levels from other global nodes through transparent LED screens on the tower's facade. Inside, a spiral staircase and wrapping screen guide visitors to the top of the tower, where a 360° immersive room will display different global nodes' water levels with corresponding data.

The ground floor of the tower will have a pavilion hosting services, a café, and reception before the entrance to the water tower exhibition. The exhibition design combines modern elements with the historic tower, creating a sleek and contemporary look while preserving the tower's original features.

The proposal aims to create a network of interconnected exhibition towers worldwide, transmitting and sharing information on water mismanagement while educating people about the importance of preserving water resources. The decentralized expo seeks to foster a global understanding of water issues and promote potential solutions to address water scarcity challenges.
