Our project is rooted in a political reflection on the separation between living spaces and working spaces. Historically constructed during the 20th century, this division produced distinct spatial forms, compartmentalized temporalities, and clearly separated functions. Today, this boundary is being questioned. Work is re-entering the domestic sphere, particularly through remote work, often without an adequate spatial framework, leading to blurred life rhythms and an intrusion of professional activity into living spaces. Our intervention takes a position in response to this condition. We propose a maisonnée that accommodates both living and working, while precisely questioning the degree of permeability between these two spheres. The political dimension of the project lies in its spatial organization. Rather than merging uses, architecture structures, hierarchizes, and introduces distance where necessary, through workshops, dedicated workspaces, living areas, and circulation. The rehabilitation of the hangar thus becomes a critical opportunity, allowing the invention of new relationships between living and working within existing structures.
