An overlap of communities is created intersecting the living spaces for retired people and the ones of students, aiming at reducing the feeling of solitude, bringing richness in the collective life and answering to a question of well-being. The north orientation of the sheds and the orthogonal grid of the structure of the hangar dictated the form of the project, creating the superposition of the orthogonal and diagonal grid. The specific spatial qualities of the hangar allow retired residents to benefit from the two accessible ground floors. The kitchen becomes the heart of the project, a central space, both in plan and in section, embodying the meeting point of the two communities. The twisting of the volumes generates a variety of different exterior spaces distributed across three levels, offering changing perceptions of the gardens, the terraces and the sheds.
