The project is an intervention on an existing building, a former public market, sitting in the middle of the lanes of the second ring of the city.
The market building is low and long, to fit the uncommon site, which finds itself in a very central position among different school complexes of the neighborhood.
The new foreseen program is a community library, a common space to share knowledge and culture. By using only two materials - bricks and wood - the project restores the old market as a public space and builds a tower for the storage of documents, like a tall blue book-shelf.
