Despite its name, Piazza Piemonte in Milano is Today a traffic intersection, where many car fluxes converge. The space is designed according to car geometries. Levels are set to drastically divide car and pedestrian mobility. In a place like milano, such a large extension of free space within the consolidated city is a resource.
The project reimagines the square as a public space centered on sustainable mobility and offering a sense of ownership for citizens . Paving patterns, vegetation, and a unifying metal roof transform the square into an organic and inclusive setting, shifting cars to the periphery to prioritize pedestrians, cyclists, café terraces, and public transport.
