THE RUPTURING DRIZE - What if the Drize would rupture out of its underground gallery?
The students of the studio ‚Increasing the Leak’ developed a series of performances taking place in the program of PAV Living Room, in Geneva as part of our Atelier for Continuous Research at EPFL-ENAC-SAR, investigating Proposals for Uncertain Conditions. In times where the necessity of every new build form must be questioned, the reinterpretation of the existing becomes crucial. Shifting our attention to a valley, and the water flowing within it, recognising its ability to meander and adapt to changing geological formations, we can begin to see the potential of these changing conditions. The question then arises whether architecture, like nature, can be conducive to transformation over time.
