Today, nearly 70 buildings in Lausanne face demolition, condemning tons of precious materials to landfills. What if demolition stopped? Demolition permits become disassembly permits, requiring full material assessment and cataloguing. La Rasude’s scale positions it to bridge this new disassembly culture with construction, developing a truly circular material economy. The SBB logistics network morphs into a non- extractive national supply chain, redistributing reclaimed materials. New potentials for heterogenous assemblies emerge.
