The Goya building in Bellefontaine, Le Mirail, Toulouse, was designed in the 1960s by architects Candilis, Josic, and Woods for workingclass families and immigrants.
ANRU plans its demolition, reinforcing stigmas against immigrant populations and causing psychological tolls from forced relocations. Producing resources that highlight how questionable ANRU’s policies are and sharing these, this project seeks to stop Le Mirail demolitions, expose the practices of landlords, ANRU, and the French racist state, and offer materials for new narratives of maintenance and appreciation to emerge.
