On July 11 2007, a Delegated Public Service contract gave Veolia full control over the Le Mirail incinerator, including waste and district heating management. As essential commons, this infrastructure should return to the community it has always served. Reconnecting it to residents enables to reimagine economic margins for collective benefit, while questioning how we inhabit and use space and resources. How would a designed, hyperheated future for residents compare to a profit-driven, minimal warmth one?
