Havana focuses on architecture without embellishments or artifice, with a special preference for projects that carry significant social and societal relevance. The projects are characterized by distinctive, often robust architectural forms and a strong theoretical foundation, informed by the involvement of both partners in architectural education. The emphasis on buildability and materiality results in seemingly everyday buildings, each designed to be lived in and experienced. No loud or extravagant spaces, but spaces that return to the essence of architecture. Nothing more, nothing less.
