Humans have become a major geological force, transforming the soil and disrupting ecosystems. However, the health of the soil is essential to ensure the health of the planet but also of humans: It provides drinking water, protects against floods, serves as a natural habitat for countless organisms and is the basis for food production. By prioritizing soil health, we can contribute to a better climate and help reach the Paris Agreement goals. How to shift planning priorities, despite Lausanne's growth, to preserve and care for urban soils?
