Sylvia Plath

Jillian Bloch-Morhange

Sylvia Plath, is a misunderstood poet in the shadow of her famous husband.
Since day one she fends for her life, trying to find reasons to continue. Feeling overwhelmed by her depression she does still manage to create a life for herself.

While she seems all put together, under the surface all of her emotions are hidden away.
She becomes more and more closed off to the world, isolated, as her famous husband wanders around. Tormented by her husbands infidelity and casted away in his shadow, she still tries to pull herself out of her misery with the help of writing.
Putting all of her energy in being a mother as well as a poet.

The constant oppressing feeling that pushes her to isolation and solitude does not do wonders.
To escape these feelings she coddles up around the fire.
While things are getting better, the devastating news, that her unfaithful husband has impregnated the women he was seeing, unfortunately pushed her to the edge.
