Urgency Housing Workshop

ALICE

The Département de l’aménagement, du logement et de l’énergie de Genève and the Maison de l’architecture invited ALICE to organise an atelier on the theme urgency housing (logement d’acceuil) in the Pavillon Sicli. The workshop, acting as an abstract simulation of a specific urban context, the PAV in Geneva, enabled the participants to think of strategies to create new urban scenarios and develop programmatic mixity. The workshop was developed for local actors and architects to discuss of an actual problematic with the presence of two guests, Ellen Baxter and Adjaye Associates, who presented Sugar Hill, an exemplary project of social housing in New York.
