Bright Waves

Iluta Lorence

The design proposal comes from a personal rejection of domestic work. The building is planned to be fully automated. The basement will host a robotic kitchen and automated laundry washing. Four shafts will connect the basement to housing floors and six shafts will aliment the restaurant. The ground floor hosts a restaurant where one can order online and then receive their order in one of the shafts. The lower and upper first floor houses coworking for building habitats or external people.

Three levels of housing offer a minimum of domestic work. Meals are included in the rent and can be ordered from the phone. Laundry is sent directly from the unit to the basement without human labor. Spacious storage spaces are included in the apartment to permit robotic cleaning of floors. Having only one load-bearing internal wall, the typologies are evolutive.
