A Good Trip - Centre pour les poétesses de la Beat Generation à Marseille

/

Francisco Téllez Buitrago

The project is situated on the site between the village of Les Goudes and the rural areas, with plenty of dirt roads that lead in the mountain range rising in elevation and views of the sea and is surrounded by four different conditions on each side: the sea, rural areas, mountains, and the village. The project emerges in response to the intention of generating a radical and close connection with the context. The existing topography is an element naturally creating space with minimum elements and forming an architectural experience. The project is composed of 3 main architectural elements: frame, walls, and topography. In order to embrace spontaneousness and flexibility, a system of moving walls hide and reveal the activities that happen within each area, so actions can be as discreet as needed. Furniture plays a fundamental role when configuring space. The rooms for sleeping are composed from wood boxes that host the bed and can be placed anywhere in the project.
